Well, it’s time to break it up – try something new for breakfast tomorrow! Read my personal Low Carb Story to get a proper understanding if you want or have the time.I think a lot of people also get stuck in a breakfast rut making the same dish every day. I am following a “pay attention diet plan” which has a happy side effect that means I am losing weight. I am after all is said and done not actually dieting. Its great for making me pay attention to what I eat. One of the main reasons I use it is to record the big ingredients like the meat, fish and the veggies but it also lets me take stock of the sauces, dressings and condiments which sneak up on you while you’re trying to add flavour to bland foods. I use an app to record all my food intake called Fat Secret it is just like a similar one my friends use called My Fitness Pal – both seem to work well and give you a wide raft of diet information and functionality. Just gather the veg you like, and follow my method and you’ll be on your way to a great meal. Can these be microwaved? Yes it would appear they can and it worked a treat. ![]() Oh how about my lovely low carb veg first thing? I like to dig out a pack of frozen broccoli and cauliflower florets and chuck them in a veggie omelette for breakfast sometimes. They came out a bit dry but otherwise not bad for a first go. Now normally I would scramble in the frying pan but this time I microwaved them. So eggs – I’m allowed 2 a day on my regime. So I bought some kippers that just needed a burst in the microwave. ![]() I like kippers in the morning and normally I would grill them to get them nicely hot and crispy but I wanted to steer clear of the grill or frying pan to see if it was possible to still eat low carb food in a tasty way. I was looking for a way of getting away from the frying pan or grill for my low carb breakfast foods and played about with some ingredients. ![]()

![]() Zeus, in particular, has a lot of great, pretty darn funny lines he's all-powerful but totally naïve and kind of a doofus. Fenyx herself is a storyteller, and can hardly believe she's interacting with so many legends. Prometheus and Zeus regularly interject to narrate your journey and occasionally crack jokes. Panicked, Zeus seeks the help of Prometheus, who proclaims a mortal named Fenyx will be the gods' salvation.Įven though Greek mythology is a commonly visited well in pop culture, Immortals Fenyx Rising does some excellent work with its writing and characters. In Immortals Fenyx Rising, Typhon, one of the Titans imprisoned by Zeus and the other Olympians, has broken free and is attempting to take over the world. Immortals Fenyx Rising Review: Deities in Distress What it may lack in innovation, Immortals Fenyx Rising makes up for in breezy combat and excellent writing, and it's a surprisingly solid game that stands as a must-play for open-world fans. It also carries with it a strong comparison to Breath of the Wild, but on all platforms. Immortals Fenyx Rising doesn't break a lot of new ground, but it ticks many of the same boxes that AC Valhalla does without being quite as swollen. And there are some very good mounts to ride. As your character gets stronger, you unlock new combat mechanics, but you always have the capability to sneak up on enemies and take them out with a one-shot kill. ![]() There are, admittedly, some fights you'll be automatically pulled into upon entering a room, but these are all scripted moments within the larger story - usually when you're trying to escape and everything's on red alert anyway. However, whereas Invisible Inc was all about pushing through an office space tile by tile and making calculated decisions on whether to explore certain corridors and risk being discovered, Sunday Gold lets you stroll around its environs as much as you like, robbing it of any tension or time-pressure. Once those action points are exhausted, however, you'll need to end your turn to replenish them, at which point the security level of your environment steps up a notch, a la Invisible Inc, and you may get pulled into one of its turn-based battles if the supposedly patrolling security forces (which are never visible onscreen) start getting too suspicious. There's no denying Sunday Gold's good looks, and its bright, characterful art follows in the same lineage as Disco Elysium. Her minigames involve frantically clicking left and right with your mouse to guide a quivering needle to certain parts of her 'breathing arc', and while they were definitely the mini-game I liked least of the three, I never actually failed any of them outright thanks to the (probably too) generous number of attempts included in each of their respective difficulty modes. Sally's extra brawn, on the other hand, lets her shove, carry or rip objects apart once she's performed some focused breathing exercises. Frank is a dab hand at picking locks, for example, resulting in several, very easy Bethesda-style lockpick mini-games, while Gavin flexes his hacking skills by solving Wordle-style number puzzles. Many actions such as searching drawers, swiping security cards playing answering machine messages can be performed by anyone, but there are some tasks where you'll need to select specific characters. ![]() ![]() Your party of three all have their own number of action points with which to solve said puzzles, too. They do this by exploring the offices, warehouses and even Hogan's tooled up country pile in classic point and click fashion, solving puzzles and uncovering evidence to expose Hogan's various wrong-doings. Mates and fellow crims Sally, Frank and Gavin are out trying to expose the seedy corporate dealings of Barry Hogan in Sunday Gold, a self-made billionaire whose company may or may not be doing lots of secret Bad Stuff TM in highly suspect underground laboratories on the down low, and whose cybernetic death dog, the titular Sunday Gold, is also raking in mountains of cash on the side because that's what apparently passes for entertainment in 2070 Laaaandan. I think the crux of my frustration stems from Sunday Gold trying to impose its turn-based battling structure on its point and click puzzle sections. There's still much to admire in its stylish visuals and atmospheric music, but I also haven't been this cross playing a video game since Felix The Reaper, and that's saying something. BKOM Studios have tried to fuse one too many things together in Sunday Gold, and the result is a messy, somewhat artificial blend of Deathloop's style, Invisible Inc's tension and a more action-led focus on the cerebral role-playing of Disco Elysium. It's a phrase I often found myself echoing while playing Sunday Gold for review, too, both during its tedious, war of attrition-style turn-based battles, and while trying to figure out some of its more obtuse puzzles. The type who are seemingly resistant to every single weapon type in your arsenal, or who invariably have big, scripted healing sequences just when you're about to nail 'em. ![]() It's often uttered by your knuckle-dusting healer Sally, and is invariably followed up by, "You havin' a laugh, mate?" and "Facking hell!" - partly because Sally is from Laaaandan and is thus obligated to speak lik' tha', innit (because how else would you know this is a game set in Laaaandan), but also because the thugs, security guards and cybernetic dogs she's often fighting in this seedy tale of corporate dystopia are some of the most frustrating enemies known to video games. ![]() "Oh, come on!" is a phrase you hear a lot in Sunday Gold. ![]() So, you now know everything there is to know about the Geometry Dash APK for Android and Windows. ![]() ![]() Though it may just be a result of me liking this particular group more than the others, I think the high level of interplay and symbiosis the characters share with one another supports this claim. CharactersPersonally, I'd say Clannad's cast is the best yet of the Kyoto Animation lineups. All in all Clannad is an audible treat, and given the top-notch voice acting, it's nothing short of impressive. On its own the Clannad soundtrack showcases a large number of, simply put, beautiful tracks, so this certainly provides for one of the series' greatest merits. In addition, the voice actors capture the emotion and enthusiasm of the characters with great finesse, which plays perfectly with the energetic background music. And, in essence, this same level of intrigue and mastery is present throughout. ![]() Clannad's basketball match in its latter half is exemplary proof, as it leaves no stone unturned it's lavish with detail, covering everything from the dribbling of the ball to Sunohara yelling "nice shot!" in the background. Simply put, for those familiar with any of the studio's previous works, expect a continuation of the trend that doesn't disappoint.SoundIf there's one thing that impresses me as much as Kyoto Animation's consistent visual brilliance, it would have to be their ability to compliment it with perfect musical and audio scores. Though it lacks a bit of realism by sticking true to the visual novel designs, by no means is this really a fault, as everything looks amazing regardless. Character designs are splendid and vividly detailed as usual which, combined with exquisite backgrounds and scenery, make for some of the best animation short of Miyazaki. Kyoto Animation continues to lead the industry with its gorgeous visuals, and their work has very notably inspired an upward trend in overall quality. Being that it also incorporates a solid and satisfying ending, I can't find any major flukes with its pacing - it sets out to be a fun series with a tinge of drama on the side, and it certainly succeeds.AnimationOf all the sections in this review, this is probably the hardest to write about. ![]() The series balances its charming and dramatic airs in a way that, overall, gives it a more lighthearted appeal than its predecessor combined with a general lack of magical surrealism, I think this works wonders if harmonizing all its different elements to work well together. Its narrower focus along with its heavier romantic undertones give it its own unique flare, which makes it satisfying in its own right. This methodology works a bit better in my opinion, as it allows for stronger bonding between the main characters while still incorporating all the girls and the full side cast to great effect. In this manner, Clannad establishes itself as a worthy successor in Kyoto Animation's line of work, and certainly avoids merely dwelling in Kanon (2006)'s shadow. It still touches upon many of the girls' in a minor context, but ultimately it uses them to direct the central romance as the series' staple point. As soon as Fuko's arc closes, the series spins off in a different overall direction, emphasizing the romantic developments between Okazaki and Nagisa instead of drawing out different dramatic arcs with different girls. This certainly is no detriment, as both arcs prove quite enjoyable, but it inaccurately portrays Clannad as a mere rehashing of the same plot with different characters. Indeed, Fuko's arc bears an enormous number of similarities to Makoto's arc, down to even episode count, and the only real difference comes with its tradeoff of a bit of drama for more humor. At its core Clannad is only superficially a harem, as its touching romance, solid drama, and clean humor all distance it from the genre norm.In many ways, Clannad follows a structure very similar to Kanon (2006), so fans of the its predecessor (myself included) will likely feel right at home in its first episodes. Though their works all retain the basic harem elements of their source material by means of large female casts, the studio has proved, yet again, that a great anime does not need to be guided by them. StorySince my first experience with Air some three years ago, I've found myself continually impressed with Kyoto Animation's visual novel adaptations. ![]() ![]() ![]() It’s a rich, cinematic art piece that mirrors his emotional lyrics, a storyline where the need/desire for water and love intertwine with a beautiful young woman and Maxwell. His first time to the area, he’ll be showcasing songs from his successful “Black Summers’ Night” trilogy, including his recent hit “Lake By The Ocean.” Musze (aka Maxwell) produced the stunning video, shot in the Dominican Republic, with director Philip Andelman and longtime collaborator and friend, Hod David. On June 23, Maxwell will be heating up the night at Vina Robles Amphitheater in Paso Robles. Maxwell is an artist that is loyal, free spirited and finds inspiration in the trails and tribulations of life, and it’s reflected in his music. Yet he has stayed grounded and has taken his time with his releases only because he says, “I really love having a life to write about, situations”…and that happens with time. It’s been 20 years since his first album (1996’s Maxwell’s Urban Hang Suite) and like water (side note…he has a passion for water which is evident in his recent video), his career has ebbed and flowed through the years, with the coming-and-going trends of the music industry. It’s the bond he’s created with his fans that has kept him going and continually inspires this Grammy award winner. He tells stories of love, heartache, relationships and life that everyone can connect with. Since he was 17, he’s been sharing his life experiences through his music like his roots, they are the emotional backbone of his lyrics. Yet, it’s not “work” to him, it’s his passion and it’s evident in everything he does. Whether it’s as a songwriter, actor, or producer, he pours his heart and soul into his work. His music is his passion, and it’s obvious listening to him talk about his art that the most important part of what he does is reaching into the heart of his audience. When there are many different sources, it’s usually called wave diffraction. However, when most scientists talk about a small amount of sources diverting light waves, it’s usually called wave interference. They are designations that don’t have a firm difference between the two. So, is there a difference between interference and diffraction? The scientific answer is this: not really. This effect is called interference or diffraction. When waves are diverted by particles in the air or other light waves, their path and even their wavelength can change. However, it’s when light waves take a detour on the way to our eye that they react in unique and colorful ways. When light waves travel to our eyes on a straight and unimpeded path, we discern colors in a fairly straightforward fashion. So where does interference and diffraction come into this picture? These waves travel from a source and help us discern both light and color. Right in the middle of the electromagnetic spectrum are light waves. X-rays are harnessed by special machines that allow us to view inside our bodies. Microwaves cook our food through the power of (unsurprisingly) microwaves. Radio stations transmit their signal via sound waves. Some of these waves we are able to discern, but others are beyond our abilities to process. Waves can carry different types of information, like light and sound. Waves are part of the electromagnetic spectrum, and they carry information from one place to another. So what exactly is this phenomenon?īefore we consider interference and diffraction, we have to take a moment to consider what light is and how it travels. Not only do you see them in rainbows and CD’s but you can also observe them in bubbles, glass, and holographic stickers (just to name a few). Have you ever wondered how these kaleidoscopes of colors are produced? They are all around us. Why does the CD react like this? It’s simple: the principles of interference and diffraction are at work, causing you to see these gleams of color. How about a more man-made phenomenon? As you spin a CD back and forth between your fingers, the back of the disc flashes a brilliant array of colors. ![]() Of course, there’s no pot of gold at its end, but there is a wealth of knowledge that the rainbow can teach us about wave diffraction. So if you hold a hair straight up through the middle of your laser beam right next to the pointer, you'll get the same diffraction pattern out as you would have if you'd shot the beam through a single slit of the same size.As you look at the horizon after a rainstorm, you see it in looming in the distance. Because of Babinet's Principle, a slit in the middle of a barrier gives pretty much the same diffraction pattern as just a barrier of the same size as the slit. You can actually prove this yourself with a hair and a laser pointer. The only reason I could think of for HAVING a lens would be to have a converging lens focus an interference pattern town to a smaller area (say, if you want to save a meter wide interference pattern on a 5 mm CCD chip). In the correct place in between them, you get destructive interference. These particular wavelets represent the PEAK of a wave, so wherever the wavelets intersect, you get constructive interference. We can think about that in terms of Huygens' Principle, where instead of rays, you represent light as a bunch of little wavelets like below. ![]() ![]() Rays will automatically "converge" on their own due to diffraction. You don't need to place a lens between your slit plane and your screen for either a Young's double slit setup or for a typical single slit setup. ![]() |
